Specifications for Competitors

Elite Divisions: Open (unrestricted)

Master Divisions: Ages of scullers/rowers/paddlers must average at least 50 years, none under 25 years

Youth Divisions: Scullers/rowers/paddlers each under 20 years of age

Women’s Events: Female scullers/rowers/paddlers only - coxswains in whaleboats may be of either sex

Men’s Single/Double/Tandem Events: Male scullers/paddlers only

Mixed Double/Tandem Events: One female & one male sculler/paddler

Men’s Whaleboats: At least four male rowers – other rower and coxswain may be of either sex

Mixed Whaleboats: At least two female & one male rower - other two rowers and coxswain may be of either sex

Note: Every participant (scullers, rowers, paddlers, and coxswains) must be at least 13 years of age. For Master and Youth entries, each competitor’s age is to be taken in whole number of years attained at most recent birthday, as of Regatta Day. Coxswains may be of either sex, will have no bearing on age-determinations of Master and Youth whaleboat entries, must be WCR-certified if in a WCR-owned whaleboat, must weigh at least 100 lbs., and must remain in the boat over the entire race-course.

For age-restricted divisions, each competitor’s age is to be taken in whole number of years at most recent birthday, as of Regatta Day.
